2.2.13 Trigger Signals
The 1xEV-DO signaling application provides trigger signals that can be used by other
R&S
CMW applications to synchronize to the generated 1XEV-DO forward signal. This
is especially useful to trigger 1xEV-DO TX measurements (option R&S CMW-KM880).
The available trigger signals are described below.
To address the trigger signals in remote commands, use the following strings, with <I>
replaced by the instance number of the signaling application:

"1xEV-DO Sig<i>: Event"
●
"1xEV-DO Sig<i>: PP2S (2.00 s)"
●
"1xEV-DO Sig<i>: Reverse Frame (26.67 ms)"
●
"1xEV-DO Sig<i>: Slot (1.67 ms)"
●
"1xEV-DO Sig<i>: Super Frame (80.00 ms)"
Event Trigger
The signaling application is able to raise events that other application could use as trig-
ger signals. This mechanism is used for OLTR measurements (option R&S CMW-
KM880) in combined signal path mode, where the event triggers mark the start of an
OLTR evaluation interval.
Periodic Pulse Trigger
Periodic trigger event raised every 2 seconds
Reverse Frame Trigger
Trigger event at the beginning of each Reverse Traffic Channel frame (duration: 26.67
ms)
Slot Trigger
Trigger event at the beginning of each Forward Traffic Channel slot (1.67 ms)
Superframe
Trigger event at the beginning of each Sync Channel Superframe (80 ms) suitable for
the TX multi evaluation measurements especially transmit time error tests.
2.2.14 RX Measurements
The measurements comprised in the "RX measurement" (formerly known as "RX qual-
ity" measurement) characterize the AT receiver and transmitter performance in terms
of Packet Error Ratio (PER) and throughput. The R&S
CMW implements the proce-
dures and computations described in chapter 9 of the 3GPP2 specification C.S0029-B.
Furthermore, the "Data" statistics help to evaluate the packet data connection perform-
ance.
