The GuardShield safety light curtain must be mounted at the proper distance 
from the point of operation hazard. This distance is referred to as the safety 
distance. If the safety distance calculation is such that a person can step 
between a vertically mounted safety light curtain and the machine hazard, 
more protective measures are required.
