The Accu-Chek Softclix Plus lancing device can
be detached from the Accu-Chek Compact Plus
meter using the slide button on the back of the
meter, or used whilst still attached.
Softclix Plus
Press the plunger at the
top of the lancing device
to eject the used lancet.
Slide a new lancet in to
the lancet holder and
push it in until it clicks
in to place.
Remove the cap from
the lancing device.
Press the cap back
on to the lancing device.
The cap snaps in to
place with a click.
Twist the cap to
the desired depth
setting (11 settings
in total).
Remove the protective
cap from the lancet
with a twisting motion.
Press the plunger all
the way down. The
plunger returns about
a third of the way. The
lancing device is now
primed.
Place the lancing device
against the chosen test
site, press the plunger
at the top of the lancing
device down again
until it clicks to obtain
a sample.

The Accu-Chek Softclix Plus lancing device is intended for patient self-monitoring
by a single person. It must not be used to collect blood in a multi-patient setting
as it does not incorporate any features to guard against cross-infection.
