Spark plug maintenance

To ensure proper engine operation, the spark plug must be
properly gapped and free of deposits.

Recommended spark plug:

•

BP6ES, NGK BPR6ES

•

W20EP-U, W20EPR-U (NIPPONDENSO)

Spare part: spark plug BP6ES:

•

The recommended spark plug has the correct heat rating for
normal engine operating temperatures.

NOTICE

Risk of engine damage!
The engine can be damaged if the spark plug has the wrong
heat rating.

Use a spark plug with the correct heat rating.

To ensure optimum engine performance, the spark plug must
be correctly adjusted and free from deposits.

CAUTION

Risk of burns from hot silencer!
During engine operation, the silencer will get
hot.

►

If the engine was in operation a short time
earlier, be careful not to touch the silenc-
er.

Pull off spark plug connector.

Properly clean the environment of the spark plug.

Remove the spark using a suitable spark plug wrench (1).
