3.
Depress the middle of the V-belt with the finger.
The V-belt must not depress by more than about 7 mm.
•
Re-tension the V-belt if it depresses by more than about
7 mm.
•
If the V-belt depresses by less than about 2 mm,
reduce the tension.

Reserve distance discs
1. Loosen and unscrew the four hexagon screws (4) counter-
clockwise.
2. Remove and place to one side any outer distance discs (5).
3. Remove the lower conical disc (2).
4. Push the V-belt to the side.
5. Remove the distance discs between the conical discs. Note
down how many.
6. Remove the upper conical disc.
7. Remove any distance discs above the upper conical disc.
Increasing the V-belt tension 1. Remove one or two distance discs between the conical
discs.
2. If two distance discs are removed, place one distance disc
above the upper conical disc and one below the lower coni-
cal disc.
Reducing the V-belt tension 1. Insert one or two additional distance discs between the
conical discs.
2. If two distance discs are inserted, use one distance disc
from the stock above the upper conical disc and one from
below the lower conical disc.
Assembling the pulley Push the components back onto the shaft one after another in
the opposite order to dismantling.
