
7. Maintenance
NOTICE
Risk of engine damage !
The engine may be damaged if a spark plug with inadequate
heat range is used.

Use a spark plug with adequate heat range!
CAUTION
Risk of burns from hot silencer!
During engine operation, the silencer will get
hot.
►
If the engine was in operation a short time
earlier, be careful not to touch the silencer.
1. Remove the spark plug connector.
2. Clean the surrounding area of the spark plug.
3. Remove spark plug connector.
4. Unscrew the spark plug with a suitable spark plug wrench
(1).

5. Visually inspect the spark plug. Discard the spark plug if
there is apparent wear, or if the insulator is cracked or
chipped.
6. Measure the spark plug gap with a feeler gauge.
7. Correct as necessary by bending the side electrode.
