Heating and Cooling
Heating
Your Roadtrek is heated with a Suburban propane furnace, located on the passenger side of the aisle
beneath the side bench. The furnace is controlled by the thermostat, above the rear side window.
(Picture 41.1) Select "Furnace" and the desired temperature. The fan on the furnace will continue to run
for a minute or two after the furnace is turned off - this is controlled by a heat sensor on the combustion
chamber in the heater and is normal.
Cooling
The roof-mounted air conditioner in your Roadtrek will provide cool air while camping. It is controlled
by the thermostat. Refer to the air conditioner manual for details of use.
Thermostat
The thermostat controls the air conditioning unit. Set the thermostat on "cool" and set the desired
temperature. (Picture 41.2)
The "fan" setting recirculates cabin air using the fan inside the air conditioning unit. If the fan
setting is left on low or high, the fan will activate with the furnace. To bypass this, set the fan to
“auto”.
