Do not perform operations (adjustments or re-
pairs, etc.) on the machine other than those
described in this guide. Make sure to contact
your dealer or authorized service representa-
tive for adjustments or repairs.
Thermal Print Head
When dust adheres to the Thermal Print Head,
the screen may not be correctly perforated ac-
cording to the original data and graphics or text
may be missing or blur.
Gently rub the heat emitting part of the Thermal
Print Head with a cotton bud, etc. dampened
with alcohol to remove the dust.

Before cleaning the machine, turn the power
switch off and give the Thermal Print Head
sufficient time to cool.

Since the Thermal Print Head is very deli-
cate, avoid shocks or scratches with a hard
object.

The Thermal Print Head may be dam-
aged by static electricity. Be sure to re-
move the static electricity in your body
before cleaning the Thermal Print Head.
Do not touch the Thermal Print Head except
when cleaning it.

Do not use highly-soluble organic solvents
such as thinner and benzene for cleaning.

Open the Screen Making Unit.
To open the Screen Making Unit, push up
the Screen Making Unit Open Lever to un-
lock it.

Check the position of the heat emitting
part of the Thermal Print Head.
The yellow part of the diagram is the Ther-
mal Print Head.
