Overheating and cooling down of the Thermal Print Head
Thi s machine directly perforate s a s creen with fine line s by us ing the heat gener-
ated by the Thermal Print Head. If the machine i s us ed for a long period of time or
contin u ally making s creen from original data that inten s ively contain s image s or
h u ge s olid area, heat b u ild s u p in the Thermal Print Head, and the machine a u to-
matically s tart s to cool down. When it come s to a certain level d u ring cooling down,
the <COOLING DOWN> Indicator on the Control Panel light s .
The next s creen making i s not s tarted u ntil the temperat u re of the Thermal Print
Head lower s and the <COOLING DOWN> Indicator goe s o u t.
When the machine receive s the original data that i s expected to overheat the Ther-
mal Print Head d u e to condition s su ch a s the cover ratio of the original data, the
s creen making length and the temperat u re in s ide the main u nit, "F- 3 4" (overheat-
ing warning) i s s hown on the di s play when the <START> Key i s pre ss ed for s tarting
s creen making ( s ee page 44).
For the recovery from error s , s ee "When an Error Indicator Light s " on page 62.
When the Thermal Print Head i s overheated d u ring s creen making, an <OVER-
HEATED> (overheating) error occ u r s , the s creen making i s interr u pted, and the c u t
s creen i s ejected ( s ee page 4 3 ).
The original data re su lting in overheating will not completely be tran s ferred onto
the s creen.
