Installing Updated Programs Automatically
If RICOH e-Sharing Box is connected to an external network (the Internet), the latest firmware is
automatically downloaded and installed on the machine every time the machine firmware is updated.
The automatic update function is set to "Active" as a factory default.
To disable the automatic update function, change the settings by following the procedures below:
• Note that modifications and security updates will not be applied to the machine if you disable this
function.
1. Log in to the machine as an administrator using a web browser from a computer.
2. Click [Show Setting Screen].
3. Click [Update Settings] in "Maintenance" under "Setting Menu".
4. Clear the "Download an update program automatically" check box in "Auto. Download:".
5. Clear the "Apply update programs automatically" check box in "Auto. apply:".
6. Click [Apply].
7. Click [OK].
• The machine automatically restarts after it is updated. You cannot use the machine while restarting.
• Access the machine via a web browser, and then click [Release Notes] to check the contents of the
applied update programs.
