Energy Saver Mode
If the machine has not been operated
for a certain period of time after print-
ing, or when you press and hold the
{
Clear Modes/Energy Saver
}
key for 3
seconds, the panel display goes off
and the machine enters Energy Saver
mode. In Energy Saver mode, the ma-
chine consumes less electricity. Press
the
{
Clear Modes/Energy Saver
}
key
again, and the machine will return to
the ready condition.

By default, the time taken for the
machine to shift to Energy Saver
mode is 3 minutes.

You can change the waiting time
within a range of 1 to 120 minutes.

In the following cases, the machine
will not shift automatically to En-
ergy Saver mode.
• If there is no ink
• If originals or paper are jammed
• If the machine has not finished
making masters or prints
• If the machine is printing the
second page of a Combine print
• If there is no master
• If the master eject box is full
• If there is an original in the op-
tional Auto Document Feeder
• If the “cover open” indicator is
lit
• If you are in the process of mak-
ing changes to the user tools
• If the screen for entering a user
code is displayed
Auto Reset
This machine can be set to return au-
tomatically to its initial condition if it
has not been operated for a certain pe-
riod of time. This is called “Auto Re-
set”.

The Auto Reset time can be set
from 1 to 5 minutes, or to “Off”.

The default for Auto Reset is Off.

In the following cases, Auto Reset
will not take place.
• If there is no ink
• If originals or paper are jammed
• If the machine has not finished
making masters or prints
