4.10 DEDICATED TRANSMISSION PARAMETERS
There are two sets of transmission parameters: Fax and E-mail
Each Quick Dial Key and Speed Dial Code has eight bytes of programmable parameters allocated to it.
If transmissions to a particular machine often experience problems, store that terminal’s fax number as
a Quick Dial or Speed Dial, and adjust the parameters allocated to that number.
The programming procedure will be explained first. Then, the eight bytes will be described.
4.10.1 PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
1.
Set the bit 0 of System Bit Switch 00 to 1.
2.
Enter Address Book Management mode ([User Tools] > [Machine Features] > [System Settings] >
[Key Operator] > [Address Book Management]).
3.
Select the address book that you want to program.
4.
For the fax parameter, select "Fax Dest.", for the E-mail parameter, select "E-mail", then press
"Start". Make sure that the LED of the Start button lights green.
5.
The settings for the switch 00 are now displayed. Press the bit number that you wish to change.
6.
To scroll through the parameter switches, either:
7.
Select the next switch: press "Next" or Select the previous switch: "Prev." until the correct switch is
displayed. Then go back to step 6.
8.
After the setting is changed, press "OK".
9.
After finishing, reset bit 0 of System Bit Switch 00 to 0.

Fax Parameters
The initial settings of the following fax parameters are all FF(H) - all the parameters are disabled.

FUNCTION AND COMMENTS
ITU-T T1 time (for PSTN G3 mode)
If the connection time to a particular terminal is longer than the NCU parameter setting, adjust this
byte. The T1 time is the value stored in this byte (in hex code), multiplied by 1 second.
Range:
0 to 120 s (00h to 78h)
FFh - The local NCU parameter factory setting is used.
Do not program a value between 79h and FEh.
