The RC Flail Shredders are supplied with a Cat III 3-Point Hitch on semi-mount models or a tongue hitch
assembly on pull-type models.
SHIPPING STAND REMOVAL
1. Use overhead hoist to lower machine from shipping position.
Use a 6000 pound capacity hoist.
2. Support shredder with hoist at lifting points. Remove outer shipping stands at both ends of machine.
3. Lower machine and rest on end-plate extension skids.
4. Remove center shipping bracket. Use hoist to lift. Pins are required to attach tongue or 3-point hitch.
CHECK OIL LEVEL
Remove plug from top of gear box and check oil level on dipstick (a mark in the dipstick indicated correct oil
level).
NOTE: Use only Multi-Purpose Gear Oil (Rhino P/N 00786250) or equivalent.
TONGUE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
(Pull Type Models Only)
1. Tongue attaches with four pins between hitch
ears on front of shredder. Use pins which attach
center shipping bracket.
2. Use hoist to raise hitch into position. Attach
lower pivot point first with 1-7/16" pins. Raise
front of hitch with hoist to attach 1" top pins.
Fasten in place with snapper pins. The tongue
assembly has two height positions, for normal
operation pin tongue in top hole, for additional
crop clearance pin tongue in second hole set.
Clean and apply anti-seize compound to gear-
box input shaft.
3. Attach driveline shield to front flange of gear-
box using bolts and support washer. (Bolts
located on front flange)
