Delete All Tracked Target:
Normally single targets are deleted separate on radar screen. But they also may be deleted all together in
this menu. To do so, click button [Delete].
Priority
If AIS symbol and regarding tracked radar target are merged and associated, it can be selected, which data
shall get priority for tracking, AIS- or Tracked Target data. Click the needed one.
If tracked radar target have priority, the circle symbol is presented with a larger diameter circle (up to
5 mm), added with the AIS triangle inside the symbols’ circle.
If the AIS data have priority, the triangle symbol has thicker lines and the radar target circle a thin line.
To get association of AIS- and Tracked Targets, limit values must be set, see chapter 3.6.9.
3.6.6
AIS target monitoring
Following buttons are used to handle AIS
functions:
[AIS] – for general activation of AIS symbols.
[SEL TGT] - to select an AIS- or tracked target,
to get detailed target information in the upper
target list.
[ACT AIS] - to select sleeping AIS targets to get
those activated (awaked mode) for vector
indication and detailed AIS information;
- alternatively to select an activated AIS target to hide all information (sleeping mode).
Note:
Buttons [ACQ TT] and [DEL TT] are only useable for normal Tracked Targets, but not for AIS Targets.

V
ector and vector length of AIS targets are not calculated by radar software. They are set
according to received NMEA data from regarding AIS vessel.
To show vectors of AIS targets calculated by radar software, the regarding AIS objects must be marked as
acquired targets (circle marked).
Reporting rates of AIS messages are listed in chapt. 6.
3.6.7
Settings for AIS targets
For presetting of AIS targets, click menu button [TGT] to open the
regarding menu. There click one of the headline arrows or into the
head cell and select menu ‘AIS Display’.
Following alternatives are available:
‘Enable AIS Input’:

AIS Symbols are shown on radar screen
‘Show True Scaled Outline’:
- In shortest radar range, AIS ships
outline will be shown.
‘Show Turn Indicator’:
-
turn indicator will be added to AIS
headline.
Empty boxes:
-
above mentioned functions are deactivated.
Note:
under normal circumstances, all these functions should be activated.
