Falling edge:
If a negatively polarized (falling edge) 1PPS is used, the Falling
edge button in the Trigger/PPS Configuration dialog must be selected to
ensure accurate timing.
The 1PPS selection will appear on the sonar image control portion of the Primary
Display tab (see also
section 5.3.4 1PPS Input Indicator
4.2.6 Dual Head
To increase coverage, two complete sonar systems can be used. One is designated
“Master” and the other “Slave”.
The “master” processor dictates when the “slave” sonar will cycle, and so the Range and
Max Rate settings from the “master” are mirrored on the “slave”. This is achieved
through a network connection.
When selecting Dual Head configuration in the 7k Control Center (see also
section 3.3
Starting the 7k Control Center and Sonar
), make the relevant choice of Master or Slave
in the Mode drop-down menu
.
Slave Processor Address:
To configure a slave processor, first access the
SeaBat user interface on the master processor and select Dual Head from the
Configuration menu. In the dialog, enter the IP address of the slave processor
and click the Connect button.
If the entered IP address is valid and the processor is able to establish a
connection, the indicator beside the IP address field will turn green. If the
connection is not valid, the indicator will turn red.
