Cabling Instructions
Wiring:
1.
Run low loss speaker cable from RL-BT100 Amplifier
Speaker Terminals F to speakers.
Wiring to another RL-BT100:
2.
For connection to another RL-BT100 Amplifier run twisted
pair cable from the Output A of the ‘Master’ Amplifier unit
(first in line) to Input B of the ‘Slave’ Amplifier unit/s.
Wiring to RL-BT430:
3.
For connection to RL-BT430 Input Module run
BOTH
a
twisted pair cable from Audio Input B and a Figure 8
Power Cable from Power Input E of RL-BT100 Amplifier to
RL-BT430 unit.
Hardware Connection
1. Connect speaker cable to Speaker Terminals F . For
optimum performance ensure that speaker polarity is
consistent ie:
- Left Positive output (L+) on RL-BT100 is connected to
the Positive (+) Input on Left speaker
- Left Negative output (L-) on RL-BT100 is connected to
the Negative (-) Input on the Left speaker
- The same wiring must apply to the Right speaker
connections
2.
Screw antenna supplied onto Antenna Input D .
3.
Drill 16mm hole for mounting of TIM module into plaster
ceiling optimally 750mm distance from left or right speaker
location.
Cable Requirement*:
Audio -
Category 5e twisted pair cable
Power -
Figure 8 14-020
Speaker -
12-24 AWG Low Loss Speaker Cable
Notes:
1. Recommended cables are run according to TS009
regulations to reduce interference
2.
Maximum cable run of twisted pair from Amplifier to
RL-BT430 is 40m
3. Maximum cable run of twisted pair cable from RL-BT100
Amplifier to second Amplifier is 25m
4.
RJ45 termination type EIA/TIA 568A wiring standard

access hole if available (to allow for future accessibility).
Connection to RL-BT430
6.
Refer to instruction sheet RL-BT430
Power Connection
7. When cabling to all system components has been completed
and checked, plug power adapter (supplied) into mains and
plug DC jack into Power Input E on RL-BT100.
8.
To change power supply to direct power:
terminate Figure 8
Power Cable into supplied Direct Power Adapter and connect
