b) Shared use of the clipboard
• For example, copy some text into the clipboard.
• Navigate the mouse cursor to the other computer and paste the text at the desired
position.
c) Data transfer
• Simply copy data via drag & drop function onto the other computer.
•
You may also copy files into the clipboard and paste them into the desired directory
of the other computer.
d) Hotspot
• Use this function to provide other computers, tablets and mobile phones with
wireless access to the Internet.
• Click the grey antenna icon located in the upper left corner of the user interface.
Once the antenna icon turns blue, the function has been activated.
• The device name is “KMHotSpot_XXXXX” (the name of your computer will appear
instead of XXXXX). The password is “kmHotSpo”.
You may also click the “Setup” button to display or change the password.
The password appears in the lowermost line (WiFi Hotspot Access Key). If
changing the password, the new password must also consist of
8 characters.
e) Locking the computer
• Click the “PC Lock” button.
• Set the time period (in hours) during which to lock the computer.
• Click “Start” to activate the lock or click “Cancel” to abort.

Once you disconnect the product from the computer, the computer will be locked
automatically.
• If you want to use the computer prior to the end of the countdown, simply connect
the product to the computer, thereby deactivating the lock.
f) Searching computers
• Click the “Search” button.
• A list with available computers will appear. Select the desired computer.
• If there are no computers displayed in the list, disconnect the product from the
computer and then connect again.
Settings
• Click the “Setup” button and select one of the following options:

Turn off: Deactivating the switchover function for keyboard and mouse.
- Use Mouse Middle Button: Press the middle button of the mouse in order to switch
between both computers.

Use Mouse Move off The Edge of Screen: Navigate the mouse beyond the edge of
the screen to switch to the other computer respectively.

The Position of Other PC: Set the position of the other computer. If, for example, the
other computer stands on the right side, select “Right Side of This PC”.
• Switch only if key down: If selected, you may only then navigate the mouse to the
other computer when pressing a certain button at the same time. In order to activate
this function, click the box and select one of the following buttons: Shift, Ctrl or Alt.
• Hotkey Toggle: Displaying the shortcut that allows for switching between both
computers.

Clipboard Share Options: Select “Turn Off” to deactivate the shared use of the
clipboard. Selecting “Auto Share” will activate this function.
• WiFi Hotspot Access Key: Displaying the password. If needed, you may change the
password. The new password must also consist of 8 characters.

Click “OK” to apply all settings or click “Cancel” to abort.
Uninstalling the software
• Right-click the software icon in the lower bar of the operating system.
• Select “Exit”. You will then have to select between “Uninstall” and “Exit”.
• Select “Uninstall”. A message will appear indicating that uninstallation has been
successful.
Troubleshooting
• If the other computer cannot be recognized, check if there is an anti-virus program
installed on one of the two computers. You may, for example, deactivate the firewall
or set up an exemption rule (TCP 13345, 13350, 13355, 58688 and UDP 58688). To do so,
refer to the operating instructions of the software manufacturer.

If the computers are connected to different networks or Access Points, an error
message will appear. Uninstall the software in such a case. Then make sure that
both computers are connected to the same network or Access Point. Reinstall the
software.
• If the connection via peer-to-peer network (P2P) cannot be established, check if
both computers support WLAN. The WLAN functions must be activated on both
computers.
Maintenance and cleaning
• This product does not require maintenance. Have maintenance and repairs done by
qualified experts or repair shops only. There are no user-serviceable parts inside
the product. Therefore never open the product.
• Use a dry, soft and clean cloth for cleaning the exterior surface.
• Use a longhaired, soft and clean brush and a vacuum cleaner to easily remove dust.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the
relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of
the environment.
