Commissioning
Before every commissioning the air inlet and outlet
openings should be checked for foreign bodies and
the air inlet filter must be checked for dirt. Blocked
or soiled grids and filters must be cleaned immedi-
ately, see "Care and maintenance" chapter.
Cooling mode
Before starting up, ensure that the power supply is
present and that the standby LED is lit.
1.
Use the " " key to switch the unit on.
2.
Using the " " key, select cooling mode (until
the snowflake symbol appears in the dis-
play).
3.
Set the desired room temperature with the
"
+
and
-
" key. The setpoint
appears in the display for 5 seconds. Then
the actual current value is shown *).
4.
Select the desired fan speed using the "
FAN
"
key.
Heating mode
1.
Use the " " key to switch the unit on.
2.
Using the " " key, select heating mode (until
the sun symbol appears permanently in the
display).
3.
Set the desired room temperature with the
"
+
and
-
" key. The setpoint
appears in the display for 5 seconds. Then
the actual current value is shown *).
4.
Select the desired fan speed using the "
FAN
"
key.
As the unit extracts the heat energy from the
cold outdoor air in heating mode (even below
freezing), the heat exchanger ices up after a
specific amount of operating time. The unit
then reverses the cooling circuit to de-ice the
heat exchanger. This requires defrosting
energy from the room. The fan motor stops.
Cold air is sometimes emitted for a short time.
As soon as the defrosting process is complete,
the unit returns to normal heating mode.
Automatic operating mode
1.
Use the " " key to switch the unit on.
2.
Using the " " key or the " " key, select the
automatic operating mode (until the auto-
matic symbol appears permanently in the dis-
play).
3.
Set the desired room temperature with the
"
+
and
-
" key. The setpoint
appears in the display for 5 seconds. Then
the actual current value is shown *). When
automatic mode is operated, the unit calcu-
lates the temperature difference between the
setpoint value and the current actual value.
Depending on the difference, the unit auto-
matically switches between "Cooling" or
"Heating".
4.
Select the desired fan speed using the "
FAN
"
key.

Dehumidifying mode
1.
Use the " " key to switch the unit on.
2.
Use the " " key to select the dehumidifying
mode (a droplet symbol appears in the dis-
play).
3.
Set the desired room temperature with the
"
+
and
-
" key. The setpoint
appears in the display for 5 seconds. Then
the actual current value is shown *).
4.
In dehumidifying mode, the fan speed is
automatically selected to prevent cooling the
room down too much
Dehumidifying mode is not possible when the
room temperature is lower than 10 °C!
