1.4 Configuration and operation
1.4.1 Principle of operation
The operating principle of the reader is based
on transformation of document images obtained
in special illumination conditions into digital data.
The obtained data is transferred into the PC for
further processing (transformation, recognition, etc.)
and making a decision about document authenticity
with the help of special software algorithms and
databases supplied in the delivery set.
1.4.2 Device design
The reader (see Figures 1 and 2) is produced
in a plastic body and consists of the following
components.
In the upper part of the reader (see Figure 1):

— object glass of the reader;

— reader state indicator;
On the side panels (see Figures 1):

— USB mini B port for connecting the reader
to the PC;

— antenna element.
On the bottom panel of the device body
(see Figure 2):

— device marking;

— elements for fixing the device to the working
surface (if available) (see Figure 3).
