Constant rotation speed function
Engine speed and pitch are controlled jointly with a control stick. With the mixer and adjustment functions already
explained beforehand, you were able to adjust this interaction of pitch and engine speed. For the flight manoeuvre
"auto rotation", you can detach the engine from the pitch function and set the engine to a constant speed or even shut
it down.
The constant engine speed function is activated once you switch the switch "Th.Hold" (ill. 1, pos. 5). Independent of
this function and the settings, you can also cut off the engine immediately with the button "Thr.Cut" (ill. 3, pos. 8). The
motor remains cut off as long as you press this button.
Tail rotor balancing
A setting is mixed in for the tail rotor servo with this mixer to compensate the torque in dependence in the pitch
position. However, this function is not of relevance for the model described here, because the helicopter features an
integrated gyro for compensation of the torque (see enclosed operating instructions for the gyro).
Gyro setting
A gyro with heading lock function is installed in your helicopter. You can select between the following three settings
using the mixer and the switch Aux CH 5 (ill. 1, pos. 20) described in the following:
First option:
You use the gyro in normal mode and set the mixer for two different flight modes/two different gyro sensitivities (e.g.
hover flight and normal flight). To do so, set a positive value (e.g. +50%) forward when setting the switch Aux CH 5 (ill.
1, pos. 20) and another positive value (e.g. +75%) when setting the switch to the rear. This way, you can switch
between two different gyros sensitivities in flight.
Second option:
You use the gyro in heading lock mode and set the mixer for two different flight modes/two different gyro sensitivities
(e.g. easy and extreme aerobic flight). To do so, set a negative value (e.g. -50%) forward when setting the switch Aux
CH 5 (ill. 1, pos. 20) and another negative value (e.g. -75%) when setting the switch to the rear. This way, you can
switch between two different gyros sensitivities in flight.
Third option:
You use the gyro in both normal as well as heading lock mode and set the mixer for two different flight modes/two
different gyro sensitivities (e.g. hover flight, normal flight or aerobic flight).
To do so, set a positive value (e.g. +50%) forward when setting the switch Aux CH 5 (ill. 1, pos. 20) and another
negative value (e.g. -75%) when setting the switch to the rear. This allows you to switch between two different gyro
sensitivities in flight and at the same time between two different gyro control characteristics.
