11. Operation of the model helicopter
a) Checking the screw fittings
After transport and prior to flying, you must check all screw fittings for a tight fit. Vibrations during transport and flying
may loosen screw connections. This is why you have to perform a thorough pre-flight check just like with a real
helicopter.
b) Checking the movable parts
Prior to flying, you must check all moveable and bearing-supported parts for easy operation. They must be easy to
move but not show any play. The swash plate (1), the pitch compensator (2) and the control sleeve of the tail rotor (3)
should be oiled regularly so they can move easily.
Only use non-gumming oil. This may be special oil for aircraft models or sewing machine oil.

c) Mounting the main rotor blades
Screw the enclosed rotor blades into the corresponding fitting of the rotor head.
Attention!
Only tighten the rotor blade screws to such an extent that the blades can still align exactly through the
force of gravity.
