• LRO (Large Receive Offload) is a network technology that offloads some of the overhead associated
with receiving high-volume traffic from a single host. Though there is a performance benefit to LRO
it cannot be used in environments where the host will take the incoming traffic and forward it to
another device on the system (internal or external). In such environments, the host will panic when
LRO is enabled on an interface and that interface is placed into a bridge on the host.
