triggered with the <Print S> button, only a summary of the results would be listed on the report
printout as a table with overall class and the scan reflection profile classes of the individual
measurements with the ISO/IEC 15416 parameters. This compact printout would be repeated 10x
with a printout request by means of the <Print L> command (if a 10-fold multiple measurement had
taken place).
5.6.1.3.5 <3> Settings
– Sub-menu <5> Code comparator (option only)
This is an optional expansion of the standard software scope.
Using the
“code comparator” function, it is possible to compare the
code contents of a checked code with the previously entered code
content information. Only the code contents are compared here, and
not the code symbology.
Operation with the REA ScanCheck 3 can
be enabled with a licence key.
The respective function can be activated by checking the box.
On
means that the function is included with the code evaluation, i.e. if
the code contents of a measured code are not identical to the pre-set
code contents, this will be evaluated as an error.
Disp.
means that the results of the comparison are displayed but not
included in the evaluation.
Off
means that the comparator function is fully deactivated.
In order to enter the code contents that should be compared with the
measured code contents, it is possible to

accept the most recently scanned code contents in the field below. To do so, mark the field
“load current code content” and press the <OK ENTER> button. With this, the code contents
internally saved most recently will be written in the data field.

enter individual code contents via the keypad.
To do this, activate the input field with the arrow keys such that it is marked in red.
Using the <
del
.>
button, it is possible to delete the characters to the left.
By pressing the number buttons multiple times it is possible to enter numbers, letters and special
characters (similar to with a mobile phone keypad for SMS input).
Pressing the
<OK> button
accepts the entries. Pressing the
<back> button
discards the entries
made in this menu

– Sub-menu <6> Article lookup
(option only)
Article lookup:
This is an optional expansion of the standard
software scope. Using the “article lookup” function, it is possible to
compare the code contents of a code to be checked with all code
contents stored in an article database.
However, only the code contents are compared here and not the -
potentially different - code symbology.
This function requires the optional software expansion "
REA article
look up 32
”. With the aid of the PC program, it is possible to store
new article data records in a database on a PC, edit existing data
records and ready records for export to the REA ScanCheck 3n. This function can be enabled with
a licence key for operation with the REA ScanCheck 3n, subject to a charge.
