5.5 Settings / button functions
This chapter describes the functions of the buttons on the keypad and the menu structures for the
set-up functions.
The REA ScanCheck 3n can also be fully configured and remote-controlled from a PC.
The REA TransWin32 software required for this is optionally available. A number of special settings
can only be implemented via the REA TranWin32 set-up function. These special functions are
described in the user manual for the REA TransWin32 program.
Only functions that can be called up directly from the REA ScanCheck 3n are described here.
5.5.1 General button assignments and control functions
The REA ScanCheck 3n keypad has multicoloured lettering.
The most important buttons are coloured red.
Many buttons have 2 and in some cases even 3 different functions
assigned to them.
The various functions are context-sensitive, i.e. they can be called up
specifically depending on the current screen window and current menu
selection. Mix-ups are not possible.
The device is switched on or off with the <
ON
> button.
If the device was in sleep mode, this will also reactivate it.
When it is switched on, the start screen appears. When it is switched off, a menu
appears
Right and left arrow keys

move the cursor (marking of the active input field) in all menus and input fields to
the next or previous input field.

Using the arrow keys it is possible to scroll through the 6 screen pages of the
measurement evaluation display.
-
In the screen pages of the set-up menus, it is therefore possible to actuate the next input field
and activate this for inputs (the field is then coloured red).
