2 Safety instructions
2.1 General safety instructions
Before starting up the REA product and operating it, it is imperative for you to read and comply with
this Operating Manual and in particular the safety instructions very diligently. Additional information
and symbols are provided in the Appendix

Only trained personnel are allowed to start up,
operate and later service the device.
Prior to any maintenance work or other interventions, switch off the device and
pull the power supply.
Cleaning
Clean the housing only with a damp (not wet) cloth.
Only clean the lens and laser outlet window with a special cloth for optical lenses.
Attention: Cleaning with solvents destroys the device
Device protection is recommended in dusty environments. The device must be
protected from dust and covered, if possible.
ESD-sensitive components
Electrostatic discharges must be avoided. They can destroy the device.
Functional testing
It is recommended that test equipment be monitored regularly using the calibration
card supplied.
