Always implement the earth
conductor in line with applicable
regulations.

The wiring is always star-shaped -
for the "central earthing point" of
the machine / system. (= separate
cable for each component).

It is of utmost importance to ensure
the connection has low impedance
if the connection (also) is a
"functional earth" connection.

