Safety Instructions for Charger and Batteries

1.  Before using a battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the

Battery Charger, Battery Pack, and the Grease Gun.

2.  CAUTION: To reduce the risk of injury, the RBG charger should only be used to charge

the RBG battery pack. Other types of batteries may burst causing personal injury and
damage.

3.  Do not expose charger to rain, snow, or frost.
4.  Do not abuse the cord. Never carry the charger by the cord or yank it to disconnect it

from the receptacle. Pull by the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting the
charger. Replace damaged or worn power cord and strain reliever immediately. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO REPAIR POWER CORD.

5.  Make sure the cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise

subjected to damage or stress.

6.  Do not operate charger with damaged cord or pug. To avoid hazard, replace immediately

and DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR POWER CORD.

7.  Do not operate charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise

damaged in any way. Take the unit to a qualified service center.

8.  When service or repair, do not disassemble the charger or battery pack. Take it to a

qualified service center.

9.  Unplug charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning to reduce

risk of electric shock.

10. Charge the batter pack in a well-ventilated place. Do not cover the charger and battery

with a cloth, etc., while charging.

11. Do not store the charger or battery packs in locations such as metal grease gun shed, or

a car in the summer where the temperature may reach or exc

eed 122˚F (50˚C), which

can lead to deterioration of the battery.

12. Do not obstruct vent slots in top and bottom of charger.
13.

Do not charge battery when temperature is BELOW 32˚F (0˚C) or ABOVE 104˚F (40˚C).

14. Do not incinerate battery pack

– it can explode in a fire.

15. Do not charge battery in damp or wet locations.
16. Do not attempt to charge any other cordless grease gun or battery pack.
17. Do not short the terminals of the battery pack. ELECTRICAL SHOCK COULD CAUSE

PERSONAL INJURY OR FIRE.

18. Dispose of expended batteries properly. The RBG battery pack contains rechargeable,

nickel-cadmium batteries. These batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly at
