8.3 G-Series monitor troubleshooting
Problems with the G-Series monitor and possible causes and solutions are described here.
Problem Possible causes Possible solutions
The monitor is in standby mode. Switch the monitor on. Monitor is blank.
The monitor has no power supply. Check the relevant fuses, breakers and power connections to the battery
or originating supply.
The monitor is a repeater and the system
is starting up.
Wait for a couple of minutes and see if the problem clears.
The monitor is set to an incorrect input
channel. Select the correct input channel.
Glass bridge monitor with a cable from
the GPM connected to an input other than
DVI1. Ensure that the cable from the GPM400 is connected to DVI1 on the rear of
the monitor.
A faulty connection to the GPM400
processor or other signal source. Check the cable/connection between the monitor and the GPM400
processor or appropriate signal source.
Monitor shows “Searching” or “No signal”
message.
The GPM400 processor is not operating
correctly. Check the GPM400 processor, refer to the G-Series system documentation.
Monitor picture aspect ratio is incorrect. The GPM400 is connected to 2 monitors,
each with a different screen resolution or
aspect ratio. Ensure that all monitors connected to a single GPM400 have the same
screen resolution and aspect ratio.
