An example SeaTalkng ® system is provided below.
1.
Element™ display.
2. EV-1 heading sensor.
3.
SeaTalkng ® / NMEA 2000 VHF DSC Radio (GPS / GNSS position data can be transmitted from
the display and used by a compatible VHF DSC radio).
4.
DeviceNet connection on display’s power / NMEA 2000 cable.
5. SeaTalkng ® power cable (connects to vessel’s 12 V dc power supply).
6. DeviceNet connection to vessel’s engine management system.
7.
ECI-100.
8. SeaTalkng ® spur cables.
9.
DeviceNet to SeaTalkng ® adaptor cable.
10. SeaTalkng ® backbone cables.
11. SeaTalkng ® 5-way connector block.
12. SeaTalkng ® T-piece connectors (including backbone terminators).
Note:
• Up to 2 Element displays can be present on the same backbone; however data will NOT be
synced between Element displays.
• SeaTalkng ® instrument displays and pilot controllers can be present on the same backbone;
however this is an unsupported configuration and data will NOT be synced with the Element
display.
• An Element display can NOT be connected to the same backbone as a Multifunction display
(MFD, e.g. Axiom, or a Series, c Series, e Series, eS Series, or gS Series).
