
6.3 Data master
Where a system contains more than one unit capable of displaying
a data type (e.g. depth can be displayed on the i40 Depth and i40
Bidata), the unit physically connected to the transducer must be set
as the data master and any other units set as a repeater.
Setting a unit as data master
1. Simultaneously press and hold the
Down
and
Action
buttons
for 4 seconds.
The software version page is displayed.
2. Press the
Action
button to display the instrument status.
Note:
The i40 Bidata requires an extra
Action
button push to
switch from depth instrument status and speed instrument status.
3. Use the
Up
and
Down
buttons to change the instrument status
between Master and Repeater.
4. To save your settings and return to normal operation from any
page, simultaneously press and hold the
Down
and
Action
buttons for 2 seconds.
6.4 Adjusting the backlight
The backlighting can be adjusted using the
Action
button.
During normal operation:
1. Press and hold the
Action
button for 1 second.
The current backlighting level is displayed.
2. Press the
Action
button again to cycle through the available
backlight settings.
3. To return to normal operation press the
Up
or
Down
button, or
wait for the 5 second time-out.
4. Alternatively press and hold the
Action
button for 1 second to
adjust the contrast.
