Viper/Viper 4+ Installation & Operation Manual

1. Touch the Edit icon in the machine panel to view the machine devices.
2. Locate and select the GPS module. The GPS global settings prompt will be displayed.
3. Click the Configuration button to the right of desired receiver. The Differential Settings page will open.
4. Touch the GPS Output tab.
5. Select the desired port to configure from the Ports drop down selection.

NOTE:

Touch the “Use Defaults” option at the top of the GPS Output tab to reset the receiver default

settings. If a SmarTrax steering system has been detected, an additional “Set for SmarTrax” check box

will appear when the port connected to SmarTrax is selected.This check box allows the user to setup

the port baud and message frequencies to support SmarTrax requirements.

6. Use the Message Type sliding bars to adjust the output message rates as necessary for optional equipment.
7. Touch the Baud Rate drop down field at the bottom of the GPS Output tab to adjust the output baud rate.

GPS RECEIVER INFORMATION

To access additional information for a compatible Raven receiver using the ROS device:

1. Touch the Edit icon in the Machine Panel to view the machine devices.
2. Locate and select the GPS module. The GPS Global Settings prompt will be displayed.
3. Click the Configuration button to the right of desired receiver. The Differential Settings tab will open.
4. Touch the GPS Information tab. The GPS receiver model, serial number, and firmware version will be displayed

in the upper portion of the information tab. This information may be useful when updating receiver firmware or

upgrading receiver capabilities.

AUTHORIZING A DGPS RECEIVER FEATURE

NOTE:

This process is for the integrated GPS receiver as well as supported Raven external receivers such as

the 600S, P200, and P300.

1. After purchasing the unlocks for additional features, navigate to the Authorization Code Entry tab and enter

the purchased Authorization Code.

NOTE:

Have the receiver model, serial numbers, firmware version, and PAC code available to purchase
