Firmware and Software Revisions
The following section details changes made to MRC76XX firmware and software:
Version 2.2 Revisions
The 2.2 version revisions facilitate programming and maintenance, they are not
essential to proper and reliable operation of the MRC7600.The fixes are:

The TMRC could fail to connect because the MRC7601 was not clearing the
serial data buffer at log-in. Also, the MRC7601 could send extra characters
after receiving the QUIT command.

The “TMRC attempting to connect…..” message box could lose text when
switched from an invalid Comm port to a valid Comm port.

The distributor Name and Job-Site fields are now limited to 20 characters to
prevent them from scrolling off the screen. A message box warns the user to
truncate when saving too long of a name.

“File Save” now allows files to be saved to a specified directory.
Version 3.0 Revisions
Version 3.0 was never released for production.
Version 3.1 Revisions
Version 3.1 was release is RAM-resident, and thus may only be used on the
MRC7601. Due to memory limitations, the MRC7600—which is EPROM-based—
will not be expanded.
MRC7600 Downloadable Firmware Version 3.1
Available via the Rauland website or on diskette, the 3.1 version of MRC7600 and
TMRC allow the installer to field-download the new firmware into MRC7600's
static RAM memory.
Changes include the addition of five user-definable VCR control keys (7, 8, 9, *,
and #). Changes, of course, are subject to both VCR and MRC7600 support. The
user-definable VCR control keys are not available from the MRR7800.
MRC7600 Boot EPROM Version 3.1
The boot EPROM is used solely to download firmware to RAM. It contains no
feature code.
