3.10.2 Function of safety devices
The safety devices are designed to protect your health and life.

Before working with the machine, ensure that the safety devices are functional.

Only operate the machine if the safety equipment is functional.

Designation Function
Protective grid in hopper Prevents body parts from being caught by the rotating
auger conveyor.
Prevents body parts from being cut off by the slide.
Prevents faults during spreading caused by lumps in
the spreading material, large stones or other large ob-
jects (screening effect).
Drive shaft guard Prevents body parts and clothing from being pulled
into the rotating drive shaft.
Wheel chock Prevents the machine from rolling away
