Electrical connection
DANGER
High voltages during connection to the power grid
Danger to life when working with high voltage.
n
Disconnect the connection to the power supply.
n
Ensure that the device is de-energized.
DANGER
Electric shock due to incorrect connection
There is a danger to life if the cable conductors are connected incorrectly.
Connect the conductors as described according to the color coding.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to incorrect installation
Use an all-pole disconnecting device accessible on-site with a contact
distance of at least 3 mm [0.12 inch].
NOTE
Supply voltage does not correspond to the device voltage
Before connecting, check that the supply voltage corresponds to the
required voltage on the type plate of the device.
6.1
Regulations for the electrical connection
n
Observe the VDE regulations and the regulations of the local energy sup-
plier.
n
Connect the device in accordance with the valid regulations in your coun-
try.
n
Connect the device to a standardized power grid.
n
The power consumption, fuses and cable cross-sections depend on the
following factors:
– Local regulations
– Cable length
– Cable quality
– Power supply
n
Adapt the connected loads to the local conditions and requirements for a
correct power connection.
