Position of sensors
7.2
Checking the safety system
In order to ensure that the machine is safe, the safety system must be checked at regular
intervals:
• Start engine.
• Move PTO shaft switch lever to 700 rpm position or 1000 rpm position.
• Actuate "Engage" clutch switch.
• Release dead man handle and travel drive rotary grip.
After adhering to the order, the PTO shaft drive must stop, otherwise a Rapid specialist
dealer must be consulted.

Note
The dead man handle must not be pressed during the starting procedure.
Danger
The machine may suddenly trap the operator or third persons, cause them to fall over, run
them over, crush or lacerate them.
• Any defects in the safety system must be remedied immediately after detection.
• It is forbidden to work with a defective or bypassed safety system.
