Performing Automatic Reservoir Cleaning (Clean Reservoir)
NOTE!
Wearing protective gloves protects the skin from contact
with skin damaging materials. During work steps in
which you work with printing materials or cleaning
agents, we always recommend wearing protective
gloves.
During the printing process, pieces of polymerised material may detach
from the component or the build platform and remain at the bottom of
the material reservoir. To prevent these particles from damaging the
silicone layer of the reservoir or negatively impacting the print result,
they need to be removed.
Small particles of material in the build field area at the bottom of the
reservoir cannot be removed manually from the reservoir without
damaging it. For safe removal, you can perform an automatic reservoir
cleaning.
During an automatic reservoir cleaning, the build area
is exposed for a few seconds to bind exposed particles
in the build field area of the reservoir bottom in a thin
layer of material. The particles are removed from the
reservoir by peeling off the exposed layer from the
bottom of the reservoir.
If individual particles are also found floating in the
printing material or material residues are found outside
the build field area at the bottom of the reservoir, we
recommend carrying out an automatic reservoir
cleaning first and then filtering the material and
cleaning the reservoir.

Safety gloves, paper cards, paper towels
Preparation
Proceed as follows to prepare for performing an automatic reservoir
cleaning:
1.
Wear protective gloves on your hands.
2.
Open the upper hood.
3.
Check whether enough material is in the reservoir.
Take note of the maximum filling height of approx. 11 mm while
doing so! You can also read the maximum filling level off the
filling indicator on the inside of the reservoir frame.
4.
Push the material reservoir into the machine
5.
Close the hood again.
Execution
For performing an automatic reservoir cleaning, please proceed as
follows:
1.
Main menu: Press the
«
More Functions
»
and then the
«
Clean
Reservoir
»
button to open the automatic reservoir cleaning
menu.
2.
Press the
«
Start
»
button to start cleaning.
The remaining
exposure time is shown in seconds on the display.
3.
After the exposure time (
«
00
»
) has expired, open the hood and
pull the reservoir out of the machine. To do so, press the
reservoir down slightly and then pull it out of the machine.
