Calibrating the Exposure Unit (One-Point Calibration)
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to sharp objects!
The knife on the separation unit has a sharp edge that
can cause slight hand injuries through direct contact.
–
The edge should never be touched directly.
Only hold the knife by the knurled nuts and with
the blade away from your body.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury from UV radiation!
Calibration of the exposure unit takes place under the
influence of UV radiation. UV radiation can cause eye
and skin damage in the case of prolonged and direct
exposure and when protective equipment is not worn.
–
While calibrating, the protective equipment
prescribed has to be worn.
NOTE!
Wearing protective gloves protects the skin from contact
with skin damaging materials. During work steps in
which you work with printing materials or cleaning
agents, we always recommend wearing protective
gloves.
NOTE!
Wearing UV goggles protects the eyes from harmful UV
radiation. During work steps in which the exposure unit
is active, we always recommend wearing UV protection
goggles.
To prevent components from sticking to the build platform incorrectly,
the light intensity of the machine must always be set correctly. The light
intensity is adjusted by calibrating the exposure unit with a light sensor.
Required Accessories
Safety gloves, UV protective goggles, calibration device, light sensor
Registering the Sensor
To calibrate the exposure unit, the sensor first needs to be registered in
the machine. Only a sensor registered in the machine can be used for
calibration. Registration is only required once. For registering the
sensor, please proceed as follows:
1.
Access the
«
Light Sensor
»
menu: Main Menu >
«
Setup
»
>
«
Service
»
>
«
Switch Level
»
>
«
Light Sensor
»
.
2.
Plug the USB connector of the sensor into the USB port on the
front of the machine.
3.
Press the
«
Refresh
»
button so that the machine can recognise
the sensor connected.
The sensor data (serial number, last
sensor calibration) is then displayed afterwards.
4.
Press the
«
+
»
button to add the sensor to the list of permitted
sensors. The sensor is now registered.
5.
Disconnect the USB connector for the sensor from the USB port.
