Cleaning the Protective Glass
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to sharp objects!
The knife on the separation unit has a sharp edge that
can cause slight hand injuries through direct contact.
–
The edge should never be touched directly.
Only hold the knife by the knurled nuts and with
the blade away from your body.
NOTE!
Wearing protective gloves protects the skin from contact
with skin damaging materials. During work steps in
which you work with printing materials or cleaning
agents, we always recommend wearing protective
gloves.
The protective glass is situated between the reservoir and exposure unit.
To prevent components from sticking incorrectly to the build platform,
the protective glass must always be clean, free from streaks, dust and
grease.
Required Accessories
Safety gloves, microfibre cloth, isopropanol, glass cleaner
Preparation
Proceed as follows to prepare for cleaning the protective glass:
1.
Wear protective gloves on your hands.
2.
Open the upper hood.
3.
Remove the collection basket and place it on a paper towel.
Caution! Watch out for material dripping from the collection
basket. Hold the basket at a slight angle towards the back to
prevent material from leaking out. Also place a paper towel
directly underneath the basket opening.
4.
Ensure that the build platform, knife drip guard and knife, if
inserted, are clean. If liquid material is found adhering to the
components, remove them first from the machine before
removing the material reservoir.
5.
If a material reservoir is inserted in the machine, pull the
reservoir out of the machine. To do so, press the reservoir down
slightly and then pull it out of the machine. Store the reservoir in
a reservoir box.
Execution
For cleaning the protective glass, please proceed as follows:
1.
Check the protective glass for dust, streaks and fingerprints.
2.
Clean the protective glass with a microfibre cloth soaked in
isopropanol.
3.
Then remove any streaks using a microfibre cloth soaked in
glass cleaner.
4.
Insert a material reservoir.
