The R&S UPP cannot recognize if two or more switchers are set inadvertently to the
same address. It "sees" only
one
R&S UPZ at the address concerned because the
switchers respond to the query practically at the same time. This means that two or
more switchers set
the same
channel. With input switchers, this may cause problems
with the generators connected.
2.12 R&S UPP Default Setting
If the switcher panel is activated for the first time after loading the R&S UPP default
setup, the channels are set to a defined default state. All channels of the two switcher
types are set to 0 in this state. Thus it can be ensured that channels are not
unpredictably closed when the user interface is opened, which would cause illegal
states in the test setup.

If the same setting as in the default state is to be obtained, it is sufficient to set any
channel to "
0
" with the tracking setting described above. All other settings are then
adapted.
