Activating the Anti-tamper Locks

Perform the following steps:

1.

Carefully put the lock key provided into the cutout in the handle.

2.

Position the key into its socket.

3.

Rotate the key in a clockwise direction until the indicator is visible in the 
aperture beside the key.

4.

Remove the key.

The Anti-tamper lock is successfully activated.

Replacing a Drive Carrier (2u24)

Identifying a Broken Disk Carrier

The procedure is basically the same as for 5U enclosures.

Perform the following steps:

•

Follow the instructions in chapter “Identifying a Broken Drive Carrier” on 
page 114.

Electronic discharge

Observe all conventional ESD precautions when handling 
modules and components.

Avoid contact with midplane components and module 
connectors.
