RMCTAP Configuration > Min / Max Packet Size
The RMCTAP protocol specifies the procedures and messages to control the Reverse
Traffic Channel for subtype 3 signals. The logic is the same as for subtype 2 (see
RETAP Configuration > Min / Max Packet Size
for the relation), but in the multi-carrier
case a different range of possible packet size indices may be defined for each carrier.

Session Layer
The following parameters configure the session layer. The settings apply to all network
releases.
The session layer provides address management, protocol negotiation, protocol config-
uration and state maintenance services.

Inactive Session Timeout
Time after which the AT, if it does not detect any traffic from the R&S
CMW directed to
it, closes the session ("Inactive" state of the Session Management Protocol).

Specifies whether the "UATISubnetMask" and "UATI104" fields are included in the
UATIAssignment message.

Connection Layer
The following parameters configure the connection layer for subtype 0/1 signals. The
settings for subtype 0/1 signals and for subtype 2 signals are identical and overwrite
each other.
The connection layer controls the state of the air-link and prioritizes the traffic that is
sent over it.
