Temperature Profiling
The Xcelsius system enables the
temperature of the brew water for
the coffee to be set dynamically,
with an increase or decrease of up
to 5°C (9°F) during the 25-30
seconds it takes for each individual
delivery. This function allows the
distinctive flavor characteristics of
each individual roast to be brought
out for the perfect cup of coffee.
Temperature stability
The Xcelsius system guarantees
excellent temperature stability in
each grouphead, in accordance with
the standards of the World Coffee
Events 2011 (the organisation that
runs the World Barista Competition
WBC). The independent nature of
the groupheads means that
different temperatures can be set.
Independent groupheads
The independent nature of the
groupheads allows the operator to
decide whether or not to switch
each one on and, consequently,
optimise energy consumption.
Easy interface
All of the processes are controlled
through a simple interface, which is
set up with two different levels of
access: barista and maintenance.
Two international patents
Xcelsius represents a significant
and unique technological innova-
tion in the industry, which has led
to the filing of two international
patents, in partnership with the
Polytechnic University of Turin.
