“L”

“R” stamped

 

into

the metal part

 

of

 

the

pedal near the

threaded part

 

that

looks like

 

a

 

screw as

shown in

Note: they are not

Insert the Left

 

Pedal

into the Left

 

pedal

 

arm

and

 

turn the

 

thread

counter clockwise

 

by

hand.

 

 

Note: The

 

right

hand

 

side of the

 

bike

 

is

the chainwheel

side of the bike.

Fully tighten with a

 

15mm open ended

 

wrench. 

Insert the Right Pedal into the Right pedal

arm and turn the thread 

clockwise

 by

hand.

Fully tighten with a 15mm open ended

wrench. See Figure 6.2

Place

 

your pedals in

 

the 6 o’clock

 

and 12 o’clock

 

position. 

 

Your

 

bottom leg

 

should be

 

slightly

 

bent when the

 

ball of your

 

foot is placed

 

on the 

lower

 

pedal. 

If it’s

 

bent too much

 

you need

 

to raise the 

saddle. If you

 

have to rock your

 

hips to reach or 

can’t easily reach,

 

you must lower the

 

saddle.
