1.3.2 Power cable safety
During installation, ensure that the power cable complies with safety rules to avoid personal
injury and equipment damage.
The power cord safety rules are as below:
Turn off or disconnect the power before installing and removing the power cable.
Ensure that the power cord label displays correctly before connection.
Only power cords meeting the specifications are allowed.
Do not install and remove the power cord in electrical conditions. The core of power
cord conductors will produce electric arc or spark once touching the conductor, which
may result in fire or eye injuries.
1.3.3 Thunder-and-lightning safety
During a lightning storm, the atmosphere will produce a strong electromagnetic field.
Therefore, in order to prevent possible damage, the device should be well grounded for
lightning protection.
In a thunderstorm, operations under high voltage, AC power, iron tower, or mast are
strictly forbidden.
1.3.4 Electrostatic safety
In equipment installation, take anti-static measures to avoid device damage.
Antistatic rules are as below:
The equipment should be grounded properly in accordance with requirements.
To prevent body electrostatic from damaging the equipment, you must wear an ESD
wrist strap before contacting equipment or components and ensure that the other end of
the ESD wrist strap connects the ground correctly.
To guarantee that the ESD wrist strap works normally, the system resistance should be at
the range of 0.75–10 MΩ. If the resistance is not enough, change a new ESD wrist strap.
Any time when contacting the device or components, you must wear an ESD wrist
strap which should make the maximum contact with your bare skin and insert the
plug of the ESD wrist strap into the ESD socket on the device.
Avoid any contact between components and clothes because the ESD wrist strap
cannot prevent the components from producing electrostatic when contacting with
clothes.
