13.2.4. Units
For a selected profile you can declare start unit, supplementary unit and two custom units.
A custom measuring unit features:
o
a multiplier
o
a name (3 characters)
Upon completed operation of designing a custom unit, its name is added to the list of
accessible measuring units.
Units menu enables you to enteri the value of gravitational acceleration force
characteristic fora place of use. It is obligatory should a mass comparator be used to
determine mass in [N].
14. WORKING MODES – General Information
Standard 4Y series features the following working modes:
Weighing Parts counting
Means of operation: weight of a load is
determined through an indirect
measurement. The balance measures
gravitational force which attracts the load.
The obtained result is processed and
displayed on the balance screen in a
digital format. Means of operation: based on a weight value
of a single piece it is possible to count pieces
quantity; necessary conditions: the weight
value of a single piece is determined with
sufficient accuracy, the mass of all the pieces
is the same.
Checkweighing
Dosing
Means of operation: control of sample's
mass carried out with reference to
specified thresholds, it is necessary to give
the value of min threshold <LO> and max
threshold <HI>. Means of operation: it is necessary to specify
sample’s target mass to be obtained by
dispensing (pouring, filling, etc.).
Percent weighing:
Density
Means of operation: control of percent
ratio of a test sample in relation to a
reference sample. Obtained data provides
info on how much the test sample differs
from the adopted reference sample. Means of operation: based on Archimedes
principle it is possible to determine density of
solids and liquids. Density mode requires use
of an optional density determination kit.
Animal weighing
Formulations
Means of operation: mass measurement
carried out with use of filters which
dampen animal moves on a weighing pan;
the filters enable obtaining correct
measurement result. Means of operation: by mixing specified
ingredients you can obtain particular mixture;
in order to program given formulation it is
necessary to give mass values for respective
ingredients.
