TROUBLESHOOTING

We do not expect you to have any problems with your system,
but if you do, the following suggestions might help. If you still
have problems, disconnect the base and all extensions and take
them to your local Radio Shack store for assistance.

Problem

Suggestion

Static interference.

Move the base or extension unit(s).
Fluorescent lights, light dimmers,
computer surge protectors, and
home automation controllers can
cause interference.

Cannot set the secu-
rity code.

Move the base or extension unit(s).
Try the security code procedure sev-
eral times. If that does not work,
reset the system then try again.

Cannot dial out.

Decrease the distance between the
base and the extension unit(s).

Be sure the outlet has power. During
a power failure, only phones con-
nected to the base or directly to the
phone jacks operate.

Phone does not ring.

Decrease the distance between the
base and the extension unit(s).

No dial tone or a high
pitched beep from the
handset.

Reset the system.
