1. Insert the cigarette lighter adapter into
your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket.
2. Connect one of the adapter’s plugs to
the headset and the other to the
phoneset (See illustration above). The
LED on both the headset and phoneset
flash twice per second while charging.
The LEDs flash only once per second
when charging is complete.
3. Disconnect the headset and the
phoneset from the adapter when
charging is complete.

Use the opportunity to recharge Air Bud
whenever it will not be in use for an
extended period of time. This will ensure
that Air Bud has a full supply of talk time.
Frequent and partial charging does not
adversely affect the Li-Ion battery
performance."
Recharge the headset battery when the
headset beeps four times and the LED
flashes four times every five seconds.
Recharge the phoneset battery when the
headset beeps twice and the LED flashes
two times every five seconds.
Air Bud terminates the link between the
headset and phoneset after a warning beep.
You cannot operate Air Bud until you
recharge the batteries.

• Use only the supplied cigarette lighter
adapter to charge the headset and phoneset.
• Do not attempt to remove the lithium ion
batteries. Doing so could damage the
headset or phoneset.

• You must fully charge the headset and
phoneset batteries before initial use. Allow
approximately three hours for a full charge.
• Do not press the buttons on the headset or
phoneset while charging the batteries. Doing
so places ir Bud in factory test mode.
• We recommend recharging the headset and
phoneset batteries at the same time.
• For charging at home or in the office, you
can charge the headset and phoneset using
a 12V, minimum 300 mA AC adapter and a
size B Adaptaplug™ adapter (neither
supplied). Both are available at your local
RadioShack store or online at
www.RadioShack.com.
• You may need an audio jack adapter. Check
with your local RadioShack for adapter
