Setup > Limits, and the Setup Wizard. See below to add the field for
setting up

sectors

.

This screen

gives access to the system’s

soft travel limits

. Among

its tasks, the Setup Wizard sets a soft limit at 2° before each
limit switch, but the values can be edited.

About “Disable

 soft

limits”:

also see the related system fault dis-

cussed in section 5.3.28, "Soft travel limit disabled".

Hard-limit values are determined by the placement of the hard-

ware limit switches.

Run the Setup Wizard after any change to the limit

switches in order to update the limit settings.

3.5.4.1

Antenna Sectors

The Model 8200 supports antennas with multiple azimuth

sectors

, parts

of the antenna’s range of motion that are used

frequently. Configuring

sector parameters in the ACU allows it to operate with correct travel
limits without needing to rediscover limit-switch positions.
Changing the sector

is the same as

using Setup > Limits to enter new

numbers for AZ soft and hard limits.
Changing sectors

does

n’t

change the physical limit inputs

monitored by the IOC.
