Decommissioning
This chapter describes the decommissioning process and provides an overview of the steps
to be performed in the specified order.
Disconnect POS System from
Power Supply
HINT
Before decommissioning the POS system,
make sure that you have saved all relevant
POS data externally (
Procedure:
1.
Switch off the POS system (
2.
Pull the safety plug (B) of the power
cord from the socket (C).
The POS System has been shut down
properly.
Disposal
In accordance with EU Directive 2002/96/
EC (WEEE Directive) and your national legis-
lature, electronic and electrical devices may
not be disposed of with normal household
waste. Improper disposal of this kind of
waste may result in negative consequences
for health and environment due to the poten-
tially hazardous materials in electronic and
electrical devices.
Procedure:
Dispose of the product and its packag-
ing in accordance with local statutory
regulations.
