Numeric
Mode
The
Quidel
Triage
MeterPro
has
the
capability
for
the
operator
to
enter
both
numeric
and
alpha
characters
from
the
keypad.
The
keypad
operates
in
numeric
mode
until
alpha
mode
is
activated
by
pressing
the
key.
The
meter
stays
in
alpha
mode,
indicated
by
the
letters
"ABC"
shown
at
the
top
of
the
display,
until
the
key
is
pressed
again.
When
in
alpha
mode,
pressing
any
key
causes
the
alpha
character
to
be
displayed.

After
the
last
character
in
a
sequence
is
displayed,
the
next
button
press
of
the
same
button
within
3
seconds
displays
the
first
character
and
the
sequence
is
repeated.
If
more
than
three
seconds
pass
without
the
operator
pressing
the
button,
the
next
press
of
that
button
causes
the
first
character
to
be
displayed.
If
a
new
button
is
pressed,
the
first
character
of
the
new
button
is
displayed
with
subsequent
presses
repeating
the
sequence.
